My Portrait Project
The world of social media has given us the ability to connect with millions of people. Sharing our successes, our follies and everything in between. It’s a beautiful thing, really. The last couple of years, social media has been a big part of my life, in a good way and in a bad way.
Because this world of social media has also created a sort of disconnect. Relationship quantity has replaced relationship quality. This is something that I have experienced personally, and from this point forward, I’m going to try my best to connect with people on a deeper, more human level. My efforts begin with this project.
For those of you who don't know, I am colorblind. So I have chosen to present this project in black and white. This is the closet I can come to seeing what you see, and vice versa.
Some of the people in these images are dear friends, others I barely know or don’t know at all. But I feel as though each image can tell you something about the human being, without saying anything at all.
